Jadwiga is a Registered Psychotherapist, a dedicated professional who feels that adjustment to clients' needs is the primary goal to achieve desired, positive outcomes in psychotherapy.

She began her clinical career in 1994 in North Bay, ON in a Detoxification Unit with individuals suffering from dependence to alcohol and other drugs. Over the years, she have learned that other addictive behaviors like food, sex, video games, spending and porn or addiction to people may cause mood swings, irritability, fatigue, insomnia and development of mental health problems. Many individuals feel scared, anxious, depressed, teary, isolated and powerless not realizing what has been the cause of these dysregulated emotions, negative thoughts and self-perceptions.

Jadwiga's clients became her motivation to pursue with further education in addictions-specific areas and how addictive behaviors affect human mind, behaviors, emotions, perception on life, and families. Further, Jadwiga became involved in the concept of "addicted family Unit" realizing that "addicts" do not live in a vacuum but live and rely on someone in their lives. Consequently, all members of the family create a dysfunctional pattern of mutual blame, shame, hurt and projection and need to focus on improvement of their functioning, communication and personal boundaries.

Since 2002, Jadwiga has been employed with the Canadian Forces helping soldiers with childhood and operational trauma as well as with excessive use of alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, Internet, spending and other addictive behaviors.
In her private practice, she is devoted to work with couples, families and marriages distressed by addictive behaviors, trauma or just feeling they lost their way after years of being together.

Over 26 years of clinical experience, Jadwiga completed four International Certifications in alcohol, other drugs and gambling. She also completed studies at the International Institute of Trauma and Addictions and received a designation of Sexual Addictions Therapist. She had mastered evidence-based therapeutic approaches to childhood and operational trauma, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and impulse control disorders. Jadwiga's recent training (EMDR) is devoted to the reduction of chronic pain as well as cravings and triggers for pleasure seeking behaviors.
