LENS and EMDR Therapy creates
- Mental clarity
- Greater sense of well being
- A life less complicated
My therapeutic principles are:
- Understanding the impact of who we are in relationship to others fosters awareness, acceptance, and compassion in counselling, crisis intervention, and client service.
- Empathetic care and focus on a person's previous successes and their value system helps in supporting change and goal setting.
- Seeing and caring for the whole person, not just the symptoms presented, enables growth.

*Anger Management Groups
We all experience some form of trauma, transition, or life changing event at some point in our lives. Some real life examples may be: a relationship in crisis, trauma, anxiety, divorce, defensiveness, panic, job loss, depression, low self-esteem, loneliness, unresolved grief, or shame. You don't have to wait till everything seems impossible to seek help. Anxiety, depressive moods, stress take their toll on living a fully engaged life.
Don't ignore the signs:
*Low self-esteem - feelings of low worth, negative self talk, defensiveness
*Social anxiety - feeling overwhelmed, isolated, lonely
*Lack of motivation - feeling down, no energy, irritable, angry
*Loss of connection - feeling resentful and lacking communication and emotional support
A series of events causing resentment, anger, fear, hurt, pain, or loneliness can shut down your ability to process emotional reactions and make it harder for you to go through your daily routine. When life becomes too heavy with self-criticism, worry, and self-doubt to talk to friends, partners, or family, then counselling, talking to a professional therapist, does help. The therapeutic process involves self-reflection and contemplation in identifying how you function in your life. While you cannot change other people, family etc. you do have options and choices in the decision to change yourself.
