I am a trauma and attachment focused clinician who lets an intersectional, anti-oppressive lens guide the work I do with both adults and children. Sometimes, we address very isolated incidents relatively quickly. Other times, issues run a bit deeper and can take some time to clear. Complex developmental trauma and attachment trauma are areas of both keen interest and study (Kathy Martin).

I enjoy helping both children and adults find their inner and outer resources when they are feeling stuck and / or stressed. Sometimes we simply do EMDR, other times I combine it with expressive arts (drawing, painting and sculpture) as well as sand tray (Ana Gomez). Tremendously meaningful, impactful work for both children and adults can be realized through metaphors and symbols.

I have trained in Theraplay and combine it with EMDR in order to offer dyadic attachment repair work between children and caregivers.

I have a passion for supporting families struggling with antenatal and postpartum issues from a feminist perspective. (I think our culture has yet to fully acknowledge the validity, culturally-influenced and widespread nature of the phenomenon and so the pain can be all the more stuck in shame and isolation.) Home visits are available to new parents, for sessions that are individual and/or dyadic (helping facilitate the bonding between parent/s and baby/ies).
