I believe that therapeutic change occurs through a supportive, caring and trusting relationship building upon a client’s unique strengths and resources. I consider clients to be the experts in their lives, and with support, encouragement, and appropriate interventions, they will find solutions to a wide range of human difficulties.
My practice focuses on treating adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress, depression, marital problems or relationship issues, self-esteem issues, work related issues, and grief and loss.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I am a Certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and studied at in the Beck Institute of Cognitive Therapy. I am also a Certified Solution Focused Therapist with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification. In addition, I hold a diploma in Food and Nutrition and a Certificate in Palliative Care.
