Tammy is a Certified EMDR Therapist, who specializes in client-centered, trauma-informed, compassionate counselling care. Tammy offers equine and animal assisted counselling for children, youth, adults and families, as well as groups about mental health and wellness. Tammy supports First Responders, those living in complex family and care systems, and those living with a history of trauma including multi-generational trauma and abuse. Tammy is honoured to be an anti-oppressive ally for First Nations individuals, families and communities. Tammy uses an integrative therapeutic approach that blends several modalities including EMDR. Tammy has experience in all areas of community and acute care mental health and healthcare social work, including emergency response and inpatient psychiatry. Along with EMDR training (that is ongoing), Tammy also has Level Two Observed Experiential Integration (OEI) training and certification. Tammy is a registered mental health provider for Veterans Affairs Canada, First Nations Health, Crime Victims Assistance and Autism BC.
