Lori is a clinical social worker who holds a bachelor’s degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies, a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work. Lori is also one of Newfoundland and Labrador's only Canadian Certified Play Therapists, through the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. Lori has completed certification requirements in AUT-Play Therapy (c) (Play Therapy for neurodivergent children and adolescents together with their families) completed the Shanker Self-Reg (R) Foundations Certificate through The MEHRIT Center and is also an EMDR trained clinician. Lori is completing advanced training in integrating EMDR and Play Therapy into her work with children and adolescents who have experienced complex trauma.

Lori’s therapeutic framework is built on the belief that the therapeutic relationship together with the therapeutic use of self, will allow clients to develop the felt sense of safety necessary as they journey toward the life they deserve.
