I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#3637) and work in Downtown Vancouver. I work with teens, adults and families. I have 15 years of experience working as a counsellor in the Mental Health and Substance Use field. You will find that I am compassionate, non-judgemental, and skilled at supporting you to find your own way. I believe change is possible and I think all people are doing the best they can.

Common issues of concerns I work with include: Trauma, substance use occupational stress, anxiety & depression, transitions in parenting and relationships among others.

My therapeutic approach starts with building a relationship with you, collaborating with you on what it is you need and what you’ve already tried to solve these problems living in your life. I work from a strengths-based, integrated approach that is grounded in developing a deep understanding about your experiences and worldview. I draw from approaches such as: acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, attachment theory, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness and trauma-informed approaches such as EMDR.

I work with people from varying cultures, gender identities, sexual orientations and family makeups.

I will support you to:
• solve problems that are solvable
• learn skills that will help you unhook from painful emotions, thoughts and behaviours
• take action towards you having a rich and meaningful life
• to learn how heal to have the past in the past

I have my Masters in Counselling from the University of British Columbia. I am a member of EMDR Canada and have been endorsed by the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association at the Silver Level for First Responder Training.

I work Tuesdays and Fridays. Please contact me for a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit.

I am an approved provider for the Crime Victim Assistance Program of BC.
