EMDR Training: Integrating EMDR into your Clinical Practice

Part 1: September 27-29 2019
Part 1 Training Objectives: EMDR Foundations
After attending the training, participants will be able to:
- List EMDR’s 8 phase and 3 prongs
- Discuss the AIP approach to psychotherapy
- Apply extended resourcing interventions
- Construct a belief focused targeting plan
- Describe the application of The Processing ContinuumTM
Part 2: November 22-24, 2019
Part 2 Training Objectives: Expanding EMDR Skills
After attending the training, participants will be able to:
- List 5 EMDR specific targeting plan approaches
- Develop resourcing skills to assist EMDR processing
- Demonstrate EMDR’s unrestricted processing
- Discuss the use of clinical interventions during processing
- Compare and contrast EMDR standard protocols and procedures with the integrative approach
Participants must complete the entire EMDR training course and 10 hours of group consultation within 24 months (2 years) from their initial start date. Please consider this deadline when registering for the training.

Sharon specializes in treating the overwhelmed, whether as a result of grief, occupational stress injuries, developmental difficulties, acute stress, post-traumatic stress, or complex trauma. As a retired RCMP sergeant (29 years), she is uniquely qualified to offer services to first responders, veterans, armed forces, and health professionals. Sharon is a certified EMDR therapist and is an approved provider of consulting services to EMDR trained therapists.
Sharon is also skilled in clinical hypnosis, CBT, mindfulness, brainspotting, interpersonal neurobiology, and somatic therapies, including Gendlin Focusing and Hakomi. She is a volunteer board member, consultant, and facilitator with the Canadian Federation of Clinical Hypnosis-Alberta Society. Sharon strives to make competent and affordable services available by mentoring master psychology students. She welcomes clients of all ages and cultures. Some of her additional areas of expertise include pain, performance, bipolar, depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, and addictions.
